Morristown Bochurim Host Mivtzoim Friends for Brunch and Learn
Morristown bochurim welcomed the Yidden they visit each week on their Mivtzoim routes for a “Beyond the Visit” brunch, bringing their weekly connection into the yeshiva as they sat together to learn a sicha one-on-one.
This Sunday, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Morristown hosted a brunch for the Friday friends met weekly on the bochurim’s Mivtzoim routes, entitled: Beyond the Visit.
The program opened with a hands-on learning session, where the bochurim learned a Sicha one-on-one together with the guests.
Following the learning, the guests enjoyed a brunch, during which a Friday friend and a bochur each spoke about the connections formed through the weekly Friday visits and the impact these relationships have had on their lives.
A video presentation entitled “Sinai, Delivered” was prepared for this event. The presentation focused on the idea that everything comes from Har Sinai, and that the Torah shared during the Friday visits is a continuation of that original giving of the Torah. The video featured multiple encounters with Yidden from the routes speaking about how Torah and the weekly visits impacted their lives and outlook.
Additionally, a beautifully designed Impact magazine — a publication of the Student Outreach Center of the Rabbinical College of America — was distributed to participants, offering a look into student-led outreach and the global ripple effect of the Rebbe’s vision, highlighting how every positive act can impact the world around us.
The event was organized by Mendel Greenberg, Mendel Galperin, and Dovid Tzvi Walters. The video presentation was prepared by Mendel Slonim, Yisroel Shemtov, and Mendel Treitel.
