This past week, over forty Talmidei HaShluchim gathered from across Australia to mark the largest ever of such an assembly. Over two evenings, five prominent speakers inspired them to “conquer Australia with limud haTorah.”
This past Motzei Shabbos Parshas Behar Bechukosai, כ”ו אייר תשפ״ה, and Sunday night כ”ז (May 24-25, 2025), over forty Talmidei HaShluchim gathered from across Australia to mark the largest ever of such an assembly! Young and fresh Rebbe energy from across the Australian continent surprised many with the soaring high numbers.
“Wow, I never realized how many young bochurim shluchim there were Down Under!” Shliach JJ Hecht excitedly exclaimed when arranging the Kinnus.
Over the two evenings, there were five well-respected speakers who came to educate and empower the next generation of great world leaders.
Night One:
The first lecture was given by Rabbi Yaakov Glasman, head Rabbi in St. Kilda Hebrew Congregation, one of Australia’s most prominent synagogues, both in numbers (1,500 member families) and of class. This is amongst other big and well-respected responsibilities. The lecture was on the topic of public speaking.
The second lecture was delivered by Mr. Eliezer Kornhauser, an exceptionally successful businessman and a devoted community leader. Known for his generosity and care, he is a pillar of Yiddishkeit in Melbourne and a driving force behind numerous institutions. Mr. Kornhauser also holds key leadership roles in many organizations and is also the founder of Cheder Levi Yitzchok. His lecture focused on the topic of mediation.
Motzei Shabbos, the event took place at the home of David and Adira Werdiger. Despite them needing to be away because of a reason beyond their control, they still kept their home open to the Rebbe’s Shluchim! WOW! That is special!
Night Two:
The third talk was delivered by Yisroel Dolnikov, a former Shliach in both community and in Yeshiva. “Now my Shlichus is an informal one,” Yisroel said. Today, he’s a highly accomplished entrepreneur, the founder and CEO of Binyan Studios, a dominant company in his field. His experience and insight gave him the full license to speak on his chosen topic: “Lessons from Shlichus to Business, and from Business to Shlichus.”
The fourth talk was delivered by Rabbi Shmuel Lesches. Rabbi Lesches is one of the busiest individuals one could meet, juggling his responsibilities as a community Rav and the head Rabbi of Young Yeshivah, while still maintaining his role as a leading figure in Yeshivah Gedolah. It was more than appropriate that he spoke about “Hatzlacha Bizman”.
The fifth talk was by the much-loved “Harav Dudu.” Harav Dudu is a very successful Chabad Shliach for Israeli backpackers in Melbourne. His true love for each and every single person that walks through his doors grants him the success he has. He’s a very authentic Jew and a serious Chossid. Per one of his specialties, his talk was “How to be Mekarev a Yid.”
Sunday nights, the event took place by Beit Chabad Melbourne, run by Harav Dudu. The farbrengen after the speeches between the fellow Shluchim lasted until 4:30 AM!
Both events were MC’d by the world-renowned JJ Hecht.
It’s worth noting that all our speakers spoke on topics they’ve truly walked the walk in. All booming with experience, knowledge, and success.
The gathering had representatives of:
- Yeshivah Gedolah Shluchim (and staff)
- Yeshivah College Shluchim
- Cheder Levi Yitzchak Shluchim
- The YLY (Sydney) Shluchim
- Chabad of Northshore Shluchim
- Beit Chabad Melbourne Shluchim
We wish each and every one of the Shluchim tremendous Hatzlacha in all of their Shlichusin!
A special Thank You to the following:
Shliach JJ Hecht for arranging this Kinnus in such a beautiful and memorable way.

To the David and Adira Werdiger family for hosting the first event and their son Rafi Werdiger for helping everything run smoothly.
Dovi Zuckerman and his team for managing the first evening.
To the Biet Chabad, the Liders and their Shluchim, Zamkeh Dror and Schneur for hosting the second event.
To all the other Shluchim who offered significant help. To name a few individuals who really stood out are Shluchim Eli Salek, Sruli Schapiro, Shnay Uzvolk, Dovid Ezagai, Srolik Silberstien, amongst many others who were always ready to help and offer a hand. Thank You.
And a special shout out to the main man, Oscar Morgan, for coming in clutch as well!
And lastly, it must be mentioned that without the help of G-d Almighty, through the Rebbe‘s brachos, this entire Kinnus program would have been a historic disaster.
THANK YOU!
May all these efforts and all the hard work put in truly hasten the coming of Moshiach Now!
