Families from East Flatbush and South Crown Heights gathered for a grand Menorah lighting and Hakhel on East 37th St.

Over 150 members of the East Flatbush communities gathered for the lighting, held in front of the house of R’ Mendy Drookman, who organized the event.

The crowd enjoyed donuts and hot chocolate, and the children were treated to balloons and glow sticks. Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal of CKids led the children in the 12 pesukim and the men then joined a joyous dance.

The menorah was lit was Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Holzman, followed by raffles for the children.
