A historic milestone for the Families and Kehilla of YTTL Pocono of Pennsylvania, a magnificent new Mikvah Taharah was inaugurated this week, serving the Temimim, the many guests who visit the Yeshiva throughout the year, and the local community.
The beautiful Mikvah was constructed to the highest standards of hiddur and kashrus, truly “Lechatchila Shebelechatchila” in both gashmiyus and ruchniyus, an investment of nearly half a million dollars.
Rabbonim, Shluchim, community leaders, Yeshiva staff, talmidim, and supporters gathered for the dedication ceremony. The honor of unveiling the plaque was given to Mr. Malkiel and his wife, Esther Davidov, who generously contributed towards the project in memory of his parents. The Eliaszadeh brothers, who sponsored a significant portion of the construction, were honored with affixing the Mezuzah.
Among the distinguished guests were Harav Yeshaya Cohen, Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan; Rabbi Baal-Lev of the Bukharian community in Queens; and Rabbi Tzvi Perlman, the first Shliach to Kingston, Pennsylvania, together with numerous Rabbonim, Mashpiim, and members of Anash.
Following the ribbon-cutting, participants toured the impressive facility and were inspired by its exceptional level of beauty and hiddur. Many noted a remarkable moment of Hashgacha Pratis when, shortly after the Mikvah was officially opened, Gishmei Brocha began to fall, helping fill the rainwater bor.
The celebration, a Seudas Mitzvah filled with divrei Torah, Chassidus, and inspiration, commenced. A special highlight was a Siyum Maseches, followed by prizes awarded to Temimim who mastered the entire masechta by heart and successfully completed rigorous testing as part of the Yeshiva’s Mivtza Torah, directed by Mashpia Rabbi Shmuel Newman.
Words of inspiration were shared by the lead Mashpia Rabbi Shmerel Matusof, Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Menachem Aizenman, and Menahel Ruchni Rabbi Mendel Silman.
The keynote address was delivered by the director of the mosdos, Rabbi Mendel Hendel, who thanked Hashem for bringing the project to completion despite numerous challenges. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to the many generous supporters whose partnership made this achievement possible.
The event was emceed by Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz. Adding to the joyous atmosphere, the birthday of Rabbi Mendel Raices, who invested tremendous effort into the success of the project, was celebrated during the evening.
The event concluded with a spirited Chassidishe farbrengen that continued late into the night, leaving participants inspired by this important addition to the Yeshiva and community.
