London Yeshiva Ketana Off to a Great Start

London’s Yeshiva Ketana began the new year on a strong and uplifting note, welcoming a growing number of bochurim and marking Chai Elul with a special parent-and-son learning program.

Parents were invited to join their sons for a shared learning session in honor of Chai Elul, creating an atmosphere of warmth, connection, and chassidishe enthusiasm.

“It was mamash beautiful,” one parent said. “The yeshiva is growing, both in the number of bochurim and in every other way. It is very stable, very positive, and the learning together on Chai Elul was truly geshmak.”

The gathering also included a warm bruchim habaim for the yeshiva’s two new shluchim, Shaya Safran and Dovi Tenenhaus. Although they arrived only recently, they have already formed a strong connection with the bochurim and are encouraging them to grow in their learning, increase their involvement in mivtzoim, and strengthen their overall chassidishe conduct.

“The year has begun with tremendous energy,” the parent said. “It has been an amazing start to what we hope will be an amazing year.”

The yeshiva is led by menahel Rabbi Moshe Zavdi, who works tirelessly together with a dedicated team of mechanchim, including Rabbi Arele Tiefenbrun, Rabbi Yossel Schtroks, Rabbi Leizer Katzman, Rabbi Levi Schtroks, Rabbi Yitzi Efune, and Rabbi Yankel Katzman.

The secular studies department is headed by Rabbi Salek, together with his staff.

Also playing a central role is Rabbi Pesach Efune, a member of the hanhala of Lubavitch UK who oversees the yeshiva’s board of trustees and board of directors.

Parents credited the yeshiva’s continued growth to the dedication and mesiras nefesh of its staff and supporters, as well as the close partnership between the parents, the yeshiva, the shluchim, and the wider Anash community.

“This does not happen by itself,” the parent said. “There is a dedicated, chassidishe group of Yidden who give themselves over to the mosad. Everyone works together to make sure the yeshiva thrives.”
