London Anash Gathers for Kinus Torah

The Kinus Torah has been held for nearly 50 consecutive years at the Lubavitcher Beis Medrash in London, organized by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ives.

Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Raskin, director of Merkaz Chassidus, opened with a sicha of the Rebbe on how every individual actually observes the mitzvah to write a Sefer Torah.

The rov of the community, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Raskin, spoke on the topic of mixtures of flours as they relate to birchas hanehenin.

Rabbi Gedaliah Lieberman, rabbi of the Heichal Menachem Beis Medrash at Golders Green, spoke about the rule of “When in doubt about a rabbinic law, rule leniently,” as it relates to heseiba while drinking the 4 cups of wine at the Seder.

Rabbi Yehuda Benshimon discussed the topic of redeeming maaser sheni, and the “sh’cheles” spice of the ketores.

Hatomim Menachem Mendel Potash clarified the Rambam‘s approach regarding one who is oleh regel without a korban.

Hatomim Mendel Rosenbluh discussed whether the rule of tadir v’sheinoi tadir applies to frequency, or the amount of times the action is done.

Hatomim Levi Austin explained the machlokes harishonim regarding the law of “shnayim ochazim b’talis.”
