Heichal Hachassidus of Lakewood celebrated the Chanukas Habayis of its new center this past week, enabling them to expand their activities and host many more Yiden by Shiurim and Farbrengens.

The recently constructed building will accommodate the growing crowds showing up by their doors. The new location has a spacious hall, with enough room for tens of people to comfortably sit and participate in a shiur in Chassidus or a farbrengen.

The mossad which is now well respected by all crowds in the city, Chassidish and Litvish alike, was established just 9 years ago by Rabbi Chaim Meisels, and has already seen great success. They host numerous shiurim per week, many times bringing down a guest maggid shiur to draw a larger crowd. In addition, they also have an evening kollel focusing on the study of Chassidus.

What started out with shiurim and farbrengens in a small basement quickly morphed into a nightly and weekly Kolel Tiferes Shimshon joined by tens of yungeleit from Lakewood’s diverse community, sponsored in large part by Rabbi Dovid Fischer.

A few years ago, with the help of local donors and with the help of Reb Eliyahu Schlosberg they were able to rent a building where they held all the shiurim, farbrengens, Tanya tests, kollels and more.

They quickly outgrew that as well.

Two years ago, Heichal Menachem purchased 2 properties with the help of local and abroad donors. After 2 years of legal preparation and construction, they finally moved into the new premises. The building is named after philanthropist Reb Meyer Zajac of S. Paulo, Brazil

Last week they marked the Chanukas Habayis of the new center with a grand celebratory farbrengen joined by local Rabonim and Admorim and over 150 people who regularly participate in their events.

Addressing the Chanukas Habayis were Rabbi Nosson Gurary and Rabbi Laima Wilhelm who both give regular shiurim at the center. Rabbi Gedalia Oberlander spoke and Rabbi Ahron Dovid Ganz spoke as well.

Nayak mashpia Rabbi Yossi Klyne, who is a frequent farbrenger at the Chassidus center farbrenged about the importance of Chassidim coming together to daven and learn and how this is an important and central point in Chassidus and it is a chidush of the Baal Shem Tov.

The Heichal also hosts farbrengens on chassidishe yomim tovim, farbrengens for women and for kids The highlight of the year being the grand farbrengen on Yud Tes Kislev.
