In a city where sirens too often replace music, Kharkiv experienced something different this Lag BaOmer.
What would be a normal celebration anywhere else felt anything but ordinary here. A lively parade moved through the streets—children waving, families walking together, Jewish pride visible and strong.
There was real joy. Music played, kids ran between jumping castles, arrows were flying at target games, and people gathered around the bonfire and barbecue. For a few hours, the heaviness lifted, replaced by a sense of togetherness and simple happiness.
Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz spoke about the open miracles we are living through and shared prayers for peace. He brought the Rebbe’s message to life—about standing proud, investing in our youth, and the strength of Jewish education, all pointing us toward Moshiach.
Lag BaOmer in Kharkiv wasn’t just another event. It was a reminder that even here, even now, life, faith, and joy continue—strong, visible, and unshaken.
