Iran Retaliates Against America

The Iranian regime’s IRGC launched 10 missiles at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in what appears to be a staged show of force. The base was evacuated in advance after a warning to Qatar. No injuries were reported, though 3 impacts were seen.

The Iranian regime (IRGC) targeted the American Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar with around 10 missiles. Qatar says all missiles were intercepted, but Amit Segal reports 3 impacts.

No injuries were caused: The entire base was evacuated ahead of the strikes, as Iran had warned Qatar first (NYT).

Qatar condemned the strike and reserved the right to respond, but also called for “the immediate cessation of all military actions and for a serious return to the negotiating table and dialogue.”

The IRGC says they fired a missile for every bomb that American dropped on Iran. The language indicates that they may be hoping it ends with this one symbolic attack, and America doesn’t respond.

Iranian sources told the NYT that they hope this strike will be an easy way out for both sides, with Iran somewhat preserving its propagandist dignity.

This doesn’t include the war between Israel and Iran, which continued today with the IDF striking many significant regime targets, and Iran firing a handful of missiles at Israeli civilians… full update coming tonight.
