In a heartfelt interview which turned out to be his last, Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar a”h came alive, speaking for half an hour instead of the planned 5 minutes, as he shared personal memories of the Rebbe and reflected on life as a chossid after Gimmel Tammuz.
In a heartfelt interview recorded last year, Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar a”h – the visionary founder of The Shul and the legendary Alef Institute – reflects on powerful personal moments with the Rebbe and shares candid thoughts on what it means to live as a chossid in the years since Gimmel Tammuz.
The conversation was conducted in connection with a South Florida event marking 30 years since that historic day.
“The interview was only supposed to last five minutes – just enough for him to give a short message for the event,” says videographer Bentzy Avtzon, who filmed it. “But even though he was already unwell and speaking in a low voice, the moment he began talking about the Rebbe, he came alive. The interview ended up lasting half an hour.”
