Hundreds Gather in Boro Park to Remember Reb Yoel Kahn

A large shloshim event, marking thirty days since the passing of Reb Yoel Kahn, was held in Boro Park on Monday, 8 Elul, addressed by prominent rabbonim.

The event was organized by Heichal Menachem of Boro Park, where Reb Yoel taught Chassidus to thousands, spreading Chassidus with true mesiras nefesh.

Addressing the shloshim were Rabbi Leibel Altein, founder of Heichal Menachem, Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva of Miami Yeshiva, Rabbi Gavriel Zinner, Rov and author of the Nitei Gavriel series and Rabbi Yitzchok Bistritzky, Rov of Boyan community. Emceeing the event was Rabbi Aaron Dovid Gancz.

Hundreds joined the event, held in Boro Park’s Anshei Sfard Hall in person, and hundreds more from around the world participated through the live stream on Anash.org.

Speakers recalled Reb Yoel’s dedication for teaching Chassidus, their encounters with him, and their commitment to continue his life work. They also announced the creation of Beis Reb Yoel, a center in Boro Park dedicated to the dissemination of Chassidus. The center, which will house Heichal Menachem, will serve as a thriving center of Chassidus, a beacon of light that shines from the heart of Boro Park.
