Hershkop Family Welcomed New Sefer Torah to Yaki’s Shul

Hundreds of locals and guests gathered in Beitar Illit for a grand Hachnosas Sefer Torah, dedicated by R’ Yaakov and Raanana Hershkop in honor of their family.

The festivities began in the afternoon at the Hershkop home, where a large tent was set up to accommodate the large crowd that gathered for the writing of the final letters.

Dozens of community members, Rabbonim, family members, and friends were honored to write the final letters in the completion of the Sefer Torah. Following the writing of the final letters, the family did hagbah and gelilah on the new Torah before proceeding on its journey to the shul.

The procession set out toward the Yaki Shul, with hundreds joining the procession, and many more standing along the route to watch and take part in the celebration. The large crowd continued toward the shul with music and dancing, creating a lively atmosphere as the Sefer Torah was brought to its new home.
