Friends and admirers of philanthropist Rabbi Yossel Gutnick gathered yesterday near the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens for a surprise farbrengen celebrating his 70th birthday.
For decades, the Lubavitcher mining magnate has been a major supporter of hundreds of Chabad institutions worldwide. He is also the director of Chabad House of Caulfield in Melbourne, Australia, and the Rebbe’s shliach for shleimus hararetz.
The celebration was joined by Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook, Rabbi Leibel Altein, Rabbi Tzvi Altein, Rabbi Shais Taub, Rabbi Yirmi Berkowitz, Rabbi Avremi Berkowitz, Rabbi Shlomo Friedman, Rabbi Yisroel Stern, Rabbi Ruvi New, Rabbi Abba Refson and others.
A unique Teshura was published specially for the occasion containing 121 letters and maanos Rabbi Gutnick merited to receive from the Rebbe through the years, many of them regarding business matters and the battle for shleimus hararetz.
