The Parade and its proceeding family fair and carnival exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations, with tens of thousands of participants from all over Brooklyn, the Tri-State area, and guests who flew in from countries throughout the entire world.

Have you ever seen an event that united every Jewish family onto one street? That was swarming with children of every age, from every background, on every corner?

Those of us who were lucky enough to attend would agree that this year’s Great Lag B’Omer Hakhel Parade was a smashing success!

The awaited Parade and its proceeding family fair and carnival exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations, with tens of thousands of participants from all over Brooklyn, the Tri-State area, and guests who flew in from countries throughout the entire world.

The energy in the air was electrifying! Beloved singer Joey Newcomb swept the captivated crowd into lively music, all led by a professional, seven-piece band.

The Parade was followed by a magnificent carnival, featuring giant rides, exciting games and entertainment, enjoyed by children of all ages for free, thanks to our partners at MASK and Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center. Food stands lined the streets, and kids were spotted eating cotton candy and other delicious treats in honor of the special day.

Children from schools throughout the world recited the 12 pesukim and all of the boys and girls responded aloud in unison, then marched together, proudly displaying their Yiddishkeit through music, art, and other wonderful talents. There were groups from Florida, France, Toronto, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Israel and Australia to name a few of the places.

Six breathtaking floats drove through the streets of Crown Heights, detailed to creatively exhibit Mitzvos and values in Yiddishkeit, one honoring 70 years of Lag B’Omer parades and the remaining 5 featuring decades of the Rebbe’s leadership.

An incredible event can’t happen without an incredible team. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made the Great Lag B’Omer Parade of 5783 possible!

Lastly, we greatly appreciate our generous sponsors. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We can’t wait for Lag B’Omer to come again. Save the date for next year!
