The Mivtzoim Shop at the Lubavitch Youth Organization invites all girls 7th – seminary to join a special event in honor of the Rebbe’s 121st birthday!

For the past couple of weeks the Lubavitch Youth Organization has been gearing up for a one-of-a-kind mivtzoim event, headed by Chana Esther Gillard, that is scheduled to take place 6:30 PM on Thursday 8 Nissan and Sunday Yud Aleph Nissan. This event aims to unite girls from 7th grade and up, from all Crown Heights schools, in the spirit of Hakhel, by bringing them together to do the Rebbe’s Inyanim. The LYO aims to provide them with yet another opportunity to experience the beauty of the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim and to do their part to reach as many Jews as possible. This year the LYO is working with two shluchim to maximize their reach.

As part of the program the girls will leave Crown Heights on busses both 8 NIssan and Yud Aleph Nissan and be divided into groups to deliver shmura matza to exact addresses of Yidden who would not have matzah otherwise. Grades 7th and 8th grade will go to the addresses with madrichot that will be from 11th grade and older. Grades 9th and up will go in their own groups, while girls in 11th grade and older may choose to be madrichot. Matzah will be provided.

This program started two years ago when a group Bais Rivkah Seminary Beis fundraised and distributed shmurah matzah as part of their Yud Aleph Nissan hachana. That year they gave out a total of 336 matzos. Last year the program grew by leaps and bounds, and the program gave out a grand total of 1,200 matzos. This year, they obviously aim to bring the Rebbe nachas by distributing even more.

For more information about the program or to sign up, please reach out to your daughter’s school or contact the email below.

For post seminary girls looking to do mivtza matzah, the LYO has programs for them too! Please be in touch with the email below.
