Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced his reception of a Lamplighters Award for excellence in public relations, by focusing on the real “lamplighters” in his state.

“I know the many months of the pandemic have brought some darkness,” Lamont tweeted, “but Chabad Houses all over CT have helped to provide light and support to countless people in need. I’m honored to receive the Lamplighter Award but couldn’t light the way without you!”

Along with his tweet, the governor posted the words of the Alter Rebbe: “A little bit of light dispels a lot of darkness.”
