‘Flying Farbrengen’ to Alma Ata Aboard New Israir Airbus

A newly arrived Israir Airbus A330 will carry Chassidim from Eretz Yisroel to Alma Ata for Chof Av, with the 24-hour direct charter built around a full in-flight program of farbrengens, shiurim and learning from the Torah of Reb Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe’s father.

A special 24-hour direct charter flight will take Chassidim from Eretz Yisroel to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan, ahead of Chof Av, the yom hahilula of Harav Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe’s father.

The flight will be operated on Israir’s new Airbus A330, a wide-body aircraft that arrived at Ben Gurion Airport for the first time just this past weekend. The aircraft, recently added as part of Israir’s fleet renewal, offers a higher level of space and comfort than a standard charter flight.

The large aircraft includes several seating sections, with upgraded premium areas that provide additional room for passengers during the journey. Organizers say this is the first time an aircraft of this size and standard is being used for a private charter to the tziyun in Alma Ata.

For many Chassidim, traveling to Alma Ata has usually meant long routes, connecting flights and tiring airport waits. The direct charter is intended to make the trip smoother and more focused, allowing passengers to travel to the tziyun without the strain usually involved in reaching Kazakhstan.

The flight itself is being prepared as a flying farbrengen. During the hours in the air, passengers will take part in farbrengens, shiurim in Chassidus and learning from the Torah of Reb Levi Yitzchok, whose writings are known for their deep connection between Nigleh and Nistar.

The organizers are also preparing special learning booklets and personal travel kits for the passengers, making the flight itself part of the Chof Av experience.

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Niyazov of the organizing committee of Tiferes Zekeinim Levi Yitzchok said the decision to charter the new Airbus came from the understanding that demand this year is expected to reach new heights.
