The New Shluchim Desk at Merkos 302 has partnered with Rabbi Aaron Herman to conduct a brand new workshop aimed at newly married couples seeking to embark on Shlichus. The workshop promises to provide invaluable guidance and support as these young couples take their first steps toward a life dedicated to the Rebbe’s vision.

For many who are pursuing Shlichus, there are numerous questions, concerns, and challenges that arise. This workshop will address these issues head-on, offering practical advice and direction on how to navigate this stage.

Rabbi Aaron Herman has been involved in consulting and mediation for Shluchim for many years, focusing on hiring, employer-employee relationships and organizational development, as well as conflict resolution when necessary. His most important work involves helping guide the Shliach Oseh Shliach process so that new Shluchim are set up for success from the very beginning of their Shlichus.

One of the primary focuses of the workshop will be equipping young couples with the knowledge and tools to ask the right questions. Choosing the right location for Shlichus is a crucial life decision, and Rabbi Herman will guide participants on how to evaluate particular Shlichus opportunities. By sharing current best practices about the way to structure a new Shlichus, Rabbi Herman will provide insights and strategies to help alleviate concerns and instill confidence in the participants.

Whether it’s moving near another shliach, working within an existing mosad, or working with family, the workshop will offer guidance on navigating relationships with employers as well as neighboring shluchim. Cooperation, communication and collaboration are vital in the realm of Shlichus, and participants will gain practical knowledge about what approaches have proven effective when working with and alongside others on Shlichus.

Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz of the New Shluchim Desk at Merkos 302, expressed excitement about the upcoming workshop: “We are truly fortunate to have Rabbi Aron Herman share his insights. We hope to see much benefit in providing the necessary knowledge and tools with those who are looking for Shlichus.”

The workshop with Rabbi Aaron Herman is open to all yungerleit interested in embarking on Shlichus. It will take place on Wednesday, 26 Iyar, May 17th, at 8 PM. Location will be provided upon RSVP.
