Lubavitcher Struck in Hit and Run in Crown Heights

A Lubavitcher man was struck in a hit-and-run while walking to Shul on Friday night at the intersection of Albany Ave and Union Street. Police are investigating it as a possibly biased crime.

A Crown Heights resident was struck in a hit-and-run as he was walking to Shul on Friday night.

The disturbing incident took place at the intersection of Albany Ave and Union Street around 6:00 pm this past Friday.

Security footage shows a white sedan that appears to stop at the traffic light but then proceeds to drive ahead without warning, mowing down the Jewish man intentionally.

Hatzalah was called and transported the injured man to the hospital.

The NYPD is taking the incident very seriously and is investigating it as a possibly biased crime.
