Crown Heights Camp Celebrates 13 Years of Fun and Connection

Camp Gan Yisroel Crown Heights (GYCH) is launching its 13th summer season, rooted in the foundational belief that children connect deepest to Yiddishkeit when they are happy, active, and inspired.

The camp offers tailored programs for Kindergarten through 8th grade, including a specialized “work and play” track for 6th to 8th graders. Bringing together children from all neighborhood yeshivas, GYCH blends a dedicated focus on meaningful Torah learning and davening with high-energy summer adventure.

“In Gan Yisroel, the Torah is our life, and our goal is to make it vibrant and joyful for every child,” said Camp Director Rabbi Zvi Lipchik. “Because we maintain a smaller, close-knit environment, we can offer individualized attention and unique experiences that larger camps cannot—such as specialized bike and scooter trips, exciting night activities, and our optional father-son camping trip.”

Consistent leadership remains a cornerstone of the program. Head counselors Rabbi Shneur Pevzner (older division) and Morah Anat Ohana (younger division) are both returning to guide the staff and campers with warmth and dedication.

Registration is currently open. Parents can secure a spot or find more information by visiting www.gych.org or calling 917-743-2268.
