Visiting South America to raise funds for the “Keren Olam HaTorah,” leading Litvishe Roshei Yeshiva met with head shliach to Argentina, Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, and his son-in-law, Rabbi Chaim Oirechman.

Joining the meeting were Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh, Rabbi Chaim Peretz Berman, and Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood, Rabbi Aryeh Malkiel Kotler.

During the meeting, a select group of bochurim from the Lubavitch yeshiva in Buenos Aires entered, along with Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Shmuel Schtroks and menahel Rabbi Elimelech Raichik, and conversed with the Roshei Yeshiva while demonstrating an impressive knowledge of Gemara Bava Kama, which is being learned this year in Lubavitch yeshivos.

Rabbi Berman shared his connections over the years with Chabad mashpi’im and chassidim, including Reb Yoel Kahan, his father Reb Foleh Kahan, and the mashpia Rabbi Chaim Shaul (Shoeil) Brook a”h (listen below).

A farher was conducted by Rabbi Avraham Salim, Rosh Yeshiva of Maor HaTorah in Yerushalayim and a member of the Sephardic Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah.

The Roshei Yeshiva were all visibly impressed by the bochurim’s knowledge and demeanor.
