Thousands of Chabad Chassidim and shluchim across Eretz Yisroel took to the streets on Election Day for a nationwide Mivtzoim campaign, encouraging Yidden to put on tefillin and strengthening Ahavas Yisroel and Jewish unity.

The Mivtzoim activities are taking place alongside thousands of Chassidim and Anash heading to the polls in accordance with the Rebbe’s directives that every Chossid exercise his right to vote and not waste even a single vote.

The Rebbe emphasized the importance of every citizen doing their part to ensure that the government is empowered to make the right decisions on critical matters affecting the country and the safety of the Yidden living there.

With many schools, yeshivos, and businesses closed for the day, Lubavitcher bochurim and working men have the opportunity to dedicate much of the day to Mivtzoim.

More than 1,400 shluchim and Chabad House directors are leading the effort, joined by thousands of Anash who began their activities early in the morning and will continue throughout the day.

The shluchim and volunteers are stationed near polling places, in parks, and throughout public areas, offering Yidden the opportunity to put on tefillin and encouraging Torah study and the observance of mitzvos. Countless tefillin stands have been set up across the country, with Israelis from across the political spectrum, including those on the far left, stopping to put on tefillin.

At the same time, more than 1,000 Chabad Houses across Eretz Yisroel are open to welcome visitors taking advantage of the Election Day holiday to daven, put on tefillin, and participate in shiurim.

Organizers emphasized that Election Day, despite its political divisions, is an opportunity to focus on the values that unite the Jewish people, overcome differences that lead to division, and strengthen genuine Achdus and Ahavas Yisroel.

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Aharonov, chairman of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad and Agudas Chassidei Chabad in Eretz Yisroel, said:

“The Rebbe’s shluchim and Chabad House directors throughout Eretz Yisroel are going out today to fulfill the Rebbe’s directive to ‘vote and influence.’ At the same time, they have launched a nationwide campaign to put on tefillin and strengthen all of the Rebbe’s mivtzoim, bringing every Jew closer to our Father in Heaven.”

He added that the initiative follows the Rebbe’s directives throughout the years, particularly on a day when the Jewish people need an added measure of unity and Ahavas Yisroel.
