CGI in the Poconos to Open a Winter Camp

Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos is opening a first-of-its-kind overnight Winter Camp for girls in public school around the country.

Building on the success of the past decade in summer overnight camping, Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos is excited to open a overnight Winter Camp.

After a wildly successful summer at CGI in the Poconos, seeing the enormous impact camp had on the girls, many of whom had been lacking peer-to-peer relationships since the beginning of the pandemic, and of course understand the tremendous benefit of overnight camp expressed by the Rebbe, it was clear to the directors that they couldn’t wait till next summer to give the children this most important Jewish experience.

The Winter Camp will take place during the public school winter break from Thursday, December 23 – Sunday, January 2.

For 10 fun-filled days the girls will experience the CGIP spirit, enjoying daily trips including skiing, snow tubing & ice skating, as well as many fun indoor activities.

The camp will be based out of the Vallevue of Morristown mansion, a magnificent 19th-century 40-acre farm estate, located in Morristown N.J.

The mansion features luxury rooms and amenities ensuring the campers stay safe, warm and cozy, including large recreation and lounge areas, as well as breathtaking views, especially at sunset, along with the rustic charm of open green land.
