Following the sudden passing of beloved Argentinian shlucha Mrs. Shifra Wildau, known for her lifelong devotion to education, community, and the Rebbe’s shlichus, a campaign has been launched to assist her family in continuing their shlichus in Chacarita, Buenos Aires.
A campaign has been launched to help fundraise for the family of Mrs. Shifra Wildau, a devoted mechanech and shlucha from Argentina, who tragically passed away on Friday, 25 Iyar, at the age of 47.
She was the wife of Rabbi Yechezkel Wildau , and daughter of Rabbi Zusha and Leah Goldstein of Kfar Chabad.
She and her husband led the Beis Chabad of Chacarita in Buenos Aires, and she was known for her dedication to the community, her students, and the Rebbe’s shlichus. With warmth and devotion, she educated and inspired generations of young women over the years.
Rebbetzin Wildau’s untimely passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her.
From all corners of the community, people have been sharing tributes and memories of her light and impact.
Mendy Y. shared: “Yesterday we said goodbye with great sadness to a beloved Rebbetzin, Shifra — shlucha of the Rebbe in Chacarita. Thank you for your unconditional devotion to every Jew, for being part of our family, and for instilling in us values and life lessons. You will be deeply missed.”
Silvia N. described her fond memories: “Life gave me the gift of knowing such a great woman. I was privileged to be inspired by her shiurim and her vibrant energy. Dearest Shifra, your teachings, your presence, and your wisdom will forever remain with me. Rabbi Yechezkel and the children will surely carry on your legacy. Thank you. You will always have a place in my heart.”
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Yechezkel Wildau, and their children: Mashi, Mendy, Schneur, and Chaya Wildau.
She is also survived by her siblings, shluchim around the world:
Goldstein, Mekovitzky, Kenig – Kfar Chabad, Goldstein – Pushkar, India, Kenig – Moscow, Rabinovitz – Brisk, Wildau, Orbach – Argentina and father-in-law Leopoldo Wildau – Argentina.
The levaya took place in Buenos Aires, drawing a large crowd of family, friends, community members, and many of her beloved students.
She was remembered as never asking for anything for herself. Only to give.
Only to influence. Only to smile at everyone – even when the illness had already weakened her body.
She was the beating heart of her home and community.
Now, a widower and four young orphans remain — with deep pain… and no financial support to rely on.
Now – this is our opportunity to embrace this family, just as she embraced so many others.
Every donation will help them get back on their feet, continue the mission, and live with dignity.
Let’s be the shluchim of the shlucha.
