Flavio Bolsonaro, a Brazilian senator and presidential candidate from the Liberal Party, visited Argentina this week to address a pro-Israel conference and meet with Argentine President Javier Milei.

Bolsonaro, the eldest son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, is known as a strong conservative voice and a clear supporter of Israel. During the conference, he met with Shliach in Buenos Aires, Rabbi Chaim Oirechman, speaking with him about his deep friendship toward Israel and his appreciation for Yiddishkeit.

At the opening event of the conference, Bolsonaro declared that if elected president of Brazil in this coming October’s election, he would move to bring Brazil into the “Isaac Accords” and relocate Brazil’s embassy to Yerushalayim. Bolsonaro, who has previously made high-profile political visits to Israel and toured Yehuda and Shomron, is currently building a close alliance with President Javier Milei as part of an effort to strengthen a conservative, pro-Israel bloc in Latin America.

The Isaac Accords initiative, promoted by President Javier Milei and other pro-Israel leaders, seeks to deepen economic, diplomatic, technological, and security cooperation between Israel and countries across Latin America.
