The 8th-grade boys’ graduating class from the Nigri Shluchim Online School gathered together in New York to celebrate their graduation with an exciting trip and an in-person ceremony. 

Nigri Shluchim Online School of the Shluchim Office provides a robust Chassidishe education for the sons and daughters of Chabad Shluchim throughout the world.

Traveling in from around the world, the Talmidim were so excited to celebrate the incredible milestone of graduating from online school after years of learning together.

The graduation trip, organized by Rabbi Shneur Deren, Boys Program Director, and led by principal Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg, provided the Talmidim with opportunities for fun, inspiration, and connection in two packed days together in New York. 

Special thanks to Rabbi Shmuly Litvin, Rabbi Levi Spalter, and Rabbi Boruch Shemtov for chaperoning the trip, Rabbi Mendy Herson and Rabbi Mendel Shemtov of Chabad of Greater Somerset County for hosting the boys, Rabbi Boruch Hecht of Yeshiva Tiferes Bachurim Morristown, and Rabbi Yoseph Chaim Kantor, Shliach to Thailand, for Farbrenging with the graduates.

“Some of the Talmidim have studied together since 1st grade, so finally joining their in-person graduation ceremony was a massive milestone,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg, Nigri Shluchim Online School boys’ principal. “It was so special to celebrate these Talmidim who have grown into true Chassidim, Yirei Shomayim and Lamdonim and are all continuing on to excellent Mesivtas next year.”

Culminating this impactful experience, the graduation ceremony hosted an overflowing crowd of proud parents, close relatives, and friends. Many of the students shared Divrei Torah and words of Hakaras Hatov to the staff before receiving their diplomas. 

Each graduate shared a Dvar Torah on a different topic, including Chayolei Beis Dovid, Hiskashrus, living on Shlichus, Moshiach, and many other meaningful subjects, making the evening especially inspiring.

The graduates also took the opportunity to express their heartfelt Hakaras HaTov to their Rabbeim, teachers, and staff members who have invested in them over the years and helped shape them into the young men they have become.

A special Siyum HaMesechta that was made by one of the graduates, adding an especially uplifting and inspiring dimension to the celebration and highlighting the serious Torah learning accomplished by the students during their years in the Nigri Shluchim Online School.

Rabbi Yitzchok Wolf, Menahel of the Chicago Cheder, member of the Nigri Shluchim Online School Vaad, addressed the graduates about the importance of Limud HaTorah. 

Special thanks to Rabbi Meir Kosofsky, Mendel Benjaminson, Rabbi Yisroel Taub, and the entire Nigri Shluchim Online School office staff for their tremendous efforts in coordinating and making the graduation ceremony such a beautiful and memorable event.
