Bochurim Taking Food From the Yeshiva Kitchen?

7. When blowing Shofar for a woman, may one say the brocho with her word for word?[7]
8. In his Sidur, the Alter Rebbe advises to cut off the corner of a blanket used during daytime, to avoid the need for Tzitzis. Why is this not followed widely?[8]
