Popular Lubavitcher singer Avraham Fried released a heartwarming new niggun with a surprising personal twist.
“I had never heard it before,” Fried shared. “But the moment I listened, I loved it and felt a deep connection.” He decided to record it. Only later, during the recording session, did he ask what it was called.
The answer caught him off guard: “It’s the niggun of R’ Chaim Aizik Krasniansky.” Fried was stunned; that was none other than his wife’s great-grandfather.
R’ Chaim Aizik was a well-known Chossid in Skver, who brought many niggunim from Russia to America. “At that moment, I understood why I had connected to it so deeply in the first place,” Fried reflected.
The niggun was originally composed by R’ Yossel Tolner Hy”d, and was arranged and produced by the talented duo Eli Klein & Itzy Berry.
