A remarkable 120 Yungerlite flocked to the recent workshop organized by the New Shluchim Desk at Merkos 302. The event, led by Rabbi Aaron Herman, proved to be an invaluable resource for newly married couples seeking guidance and support as they embark on their Shlichus journey.
The workshop, organized by Rabbi Yossi Rodal of Merkos 302’s New Shluchim Desk, demonstrated the fervor and passion among young couples looking to fulfill the Rebbe’s directive and vision. It also highlighted the pressing need for guidance and direction in navigating the multifaceted process that accompanies finding and setting up a Shlichus.
The evening opened with words of encouragement from Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz, director of the New Shluchim Desk at Merkos 302, who then introduced Rabbi Aaron Herman, a seasoned consultant and mediator for Shluchim, who brought his years of expertise to the forefront, addressing the concerns and questions that often arise when embarking on Shlichus. His extensive knowledge in areas such as hiring, employer-employee relationships, conflict resolution, and organizational development proved invaluable to the eager participants.

One of the central themes of the workshop centered around the Shliach Oseh Shliach process so that new Shluchim are set up for success from the very beginning of their Shlichus. The workshop delved into the intricacies of establishing harmonious relationships, both with employers and neighboring Shluchim. Recognizing that cooperation, communication, and collaboration are vital in the realm of Shlichus, Rabbi Herman provided practical knowledge on effective approaches when working alongside others. Participants gained valuable insights and strategies to navigate these relationships successfully.
The evening has garnered much positive feedback from those that joined. Indeed, Rabbi Mendel Wenger reflected, “With Rabbi Herman’s tools in mind, I feel much more confident navigating different Shlichus prospects. Being upfront from the outset and addressing all possible outcomes really takes the weight of uncertainty off your shoulder.”
As the event drew to a close, it was evident that the workshop had struck a chord with the participants. The knowledge gained during the event will undoubtedly prove instrumental as these young couples will embark on their future Shlichus.
