The hanhala of the Central Yeshiva at 770 has announced that they will be giving out smicha certificates to all those that have successfully completed the necessary tests and haven’t yet received a certificate.

This Wednesday, between 6:45-7:15 PM, blank certificates will be given out in Getzel’s Shul (349 Kingston Ave.) to all those eligible. The certificates are then traditionally taken to a sofer who fills out the name and date. Those who are no longer living in town can have someone else pick up the certificate on their behalf.

The actual smicha celebration and farbrengen when the signed certificates will be given out, will take place on Sunday night, Rosh Chodesh Shevat, upstairs in 770 at 10:30 PM.
