It’s heartening to see a community come together to support their Shliach, Rabbi AB Itkin, during this time of mourning for his beloved father, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Itkin.

They shared memories and anecdotes as a source of comfort, talking about his legacy as a true mechanech, a mashpia to so many, a dedicated chossid and a genuine role model to the community.

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok “Fitche” Itkin was a family man who was dedicated to his family with a beautiful balance of personal avoda, family responsibilities, and his Shlichus. He was a true inspiration to all who knew him.

Friends and community from all walks poured in to show their love and respect for their local Shliach, Rabbi AB Itkin, including a visit by elected officials; Congressman Marc Molinaro, Congressman Pat Ryan, Ulster County Sheriff Juan Figueroa, County Comptroller March Gallagher and NY State Senator Michelle Hinchey. Additionally, hundreds of community members attended the shiva house.

Rabbi AB encouraged people to increase in a mitzvah and good deeds in honor of his father.
