70 Siyumim and Siyum Hashas Crown Year in Los Angeles
A beautiful end-of-year event at Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in Los Angeles, celebrated 70 Bochurim who successfully completed Masechta Bava Kamma, as well as a Siyum HaShas by Hatomim Zalman Zarchi.
As the yeshivah year came to an end, a beautiful and inspiring Siyum celebration took place at Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in Los Angeles, marking major milestones in Limmud Hatorah for the Bochurim. The event celebrated a Siyum HaShas alongside over 70 Bochurim who successfully completed Masechta Bava Kamma.
The event took place in the yeshiva’s yard, with a full program of Divrei Hisorerus and Siyumim, in a beautiful setting of a Seudas Miztvah.
The evening opened with a siyum on a masechta by Hatomim Levi Shanowitz, who represented the large number of bochurim who have concluded the Masechta. This was followed by an address from the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Ezra Schochet, who encouraged the bochurim and inspired them to continue with the dedication to learning and growth in Chassidishkeit.
The spotlight of the event was a remarkable milestone by Hatomim Zalman Zarchi, who completed the entire Shas after years of learning.
To celebrate this monumental achievement, family and friends from their community flew in, and words of inspiration were shared by his father and others, emphasizing the greatness of this accomplishment.
The event concluded with words from Zalman’s grandfather, Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie, Shliach in Yorba Linda, CA, author of the new book Undaunted, who left the Bochurim with a powerful closing message about the important role they play as bochurim in focusing on learning Torah.
In recognition of their immense diligence and hard work, every Bochur who completed the Masechta was presented with a special gift.
