200 Yerushalmi Bochurim Discover Chassidus Chabad in Mivtza

More than 200 bochurim from yeshivos across Yerushalayim packed into Yeshivas Toras Emes on Friday night for the conclusion of a mivtza built around the kuntres “Ro’im Es Hakolos” — four sichos of the Rebbe and a michtav from the Frierdiker Rebbe on Shavuos.

More than 200 bochurim from yeshivos across Yerushalayim packed into Yeshivas Toras Emes this past Thursday night, 12 Sivan, for the grand finish of a Shavuos mivtza built around the kuntres “Ro’im Es Hakolos” — four sichos of the Rebbe together with a michtav from the Frierdiker Rebbe on Shavuos.

The whole thing came out of something that’s been quietly happening all year: talmidim of Yeshiva Gedola Toras Emes have been going out every single week to give Chassidus shiurim in over 16 yeshivos around the city. And these aren’t Chabad yeshivos. Bochurim from Kaminetz, Poras Yosef, Sha’arei Torah, and plenty of others have been getting a weekly shiur in Chassidus, a lot of them for the very first time.

The written feedback after the test gave a pretty good picture of where things landed:

“I never thought Chassidus was something you could actually sit and learn. I always figured it was just too abstract.” — Yeshivas Sha’arei Torah

“Please tell the organizers this was a real aliyah for me. I went through the whole kuntres even though nobody made me.” — Yeshivas Chayei Moshe

“I didn’t even know Likkutei Sichos was a thing. More people need to hear about this.” — Yeshivas Kaminetz

“My Kabbolas HaTorah this year was on a completely different level than last year. The sichos did that.” — Yeshivas Pnei Menachem

Bochurim came from Yeshivos Ohel Shimon Erloi, Be’er Yehuda, Zohar HaTorah, Yeshiva Ketana and Yeshiva Gedola Chayei Moshe, Yeshivas Kochav Yaakov — Tchebin, Lev Eliyahu, Mishnas Eliezer, Poras Yosef, Pnei Menachem, Yeshiva Ketana Kaminetz, Romemos HaAdam, Yeshiva Ketana Sha’arei Yosher, Yeshiva Ketana Sha’arei Torah, and Yeshiva Gedola Sha’arei Torah.
