A new AI-powered platform designed specifically for Chabad mechanchim is helping teachers prepare classroom materials in minutes instead of hours. The project, called RebbisDesk, was built by 14-year-old Shimon Myhill of Coral Springs, Florida.
Unlike general AI chatbots that rely on written prompts, RebbisDesk guides teachers through the same structure they already use when preparing a lesson. Users select the subject and source, such as a Chumash parsha, Gemara daf, Mishnah, Halacha, Chassidus, Navi, Lashon Kodesh, Jewish history, or Yomim Tovim, and then choose the type of material they want to create, including worksheets, quizzes, tests, source sheets, review packets, lesson plans, flashcards, classroom games, homework assignments, and PowerPoint presentations.
Teachers can also customize the grade level, language, classroom style, and difficulty level, with the option to generate answer keys. Completed materials can be printed, saved as PDFs, or downloaded as editable Word documents.
The platform includes an extensive Chassidus library organized by Rebbe and sefer, as well as calendar-based features that automatically highlight the current parsha, Chitas, Yomim Tovim, and related Chassidus. Every draft is saved in a personal library for future use.
RebbisDesk also emphasizes that the generated material is intended to assist, not replace, the teacher. Each draft reminds users to review the content, verify sources, and consult a rav regarding practical halachic questions where necessary.
“My goal wasn’t to replace rebbis,” said Myhill. “I wanted to give them back the hours they spend creating materials so they can invest that time where it matters most, with their talmidim and their families.”
RebbisDesk offers a free tier that allows users to generate several classroom materials each week, while a subscription plan unlocks the platform’s full range of subjects, formats, editable downloads, and teacher library features. Schools can also subscribe under a shared faculty plan.
