In an exciting announcement, the committee for the Sefer Torah Hakloli has announced that the siyum of the 12th Sefer Torah Hakloli, written in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive to unite the Jewish people, will take place next Sunday, 14 Cheshvan, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The event will take place at La Rural, a major 45,000-square-meter exhibition and convention center, and will feature distinguished guests, including Rabbi Kalman Ber, Chief Rabbi of Israel and President of the Chief Rabbinate Council, and Rabbi Tzvi Yechiel Greenblatt, Head Shliach and Chairman of Chabad Institutions in Argentina.

The celebration will also feature internationally renowned singer Yedidya Chait of Bal Harbour, Florida.

The Sefer Torah Hakloli, also known as the “Unity Torah,” was first initiated in 5742 (1982), when the Rebbe announced that a general Sefer Torah would be written for all Jews, not only for children. Throughout that year, the Rebbe repeatedly spoke about the project during farbrengens, urging chassidim to participate with hishtadlus nafshis, giving it their full personal effort.

During the Lebanon War, the Rebbe explained that this Sefer Torah carries a special segulah to protect soldiers in battle, instilling fear in the enemy by uniting every Jewish soldier through the 304,805 holy letters of a single Torah scroll.

The Rebbe also emphasized the urgency of holding the siyum of the Sefer Torah Hakloli in a location of “rov am,” where as many Jews as possible could participate. This highlighted the importance of unity and every Jew’s involvement in the collective Sefer Torah.

The previous Sefer Torah Hakloli, the 11th, was completed last year during the Kinus Hashluchim, outside 770, following the gala Shluchim Banquet. Thousands of Anash, shluchim, bochurim, women, and children filled the streets outside 770 to participate in the historic celebration. Since then, thousands of Jews from around the world have registered their letters in the new Torah.

The upcoming event will mark both the completion of the 12th Sefer Torah Hakloli and the beginning of the writing of the 13th, continuing the Rebbe’s initiative to unite Yidden through the purchase of letters in a general Sefer Torah.

Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Oirechman, Chairman of the Committee for the Writing of the Sefer Torah Hakloli, has invited Anash and Temimim worldwide to participate in the celebration and take part in fulfilling the Rebbe’s directive.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. New York time) and will be broadcast live, allowing participants around the world to join the celebration.
