1,000 Children Head Back to School Without Leaving Their Homes
Over one thousand children of Shluchim from across the globe were warmly welcomed back to their virtual classrooms as they began a brand new school year.
Children of Shluchim from across the globe were warmly welcomed back to the Nigri International Online School of the Shluchim Office as they began a brand new school year.
The Nigri Shluchim Online School serves over 1,000 children of Shluchim in all four corners of the globe, with two divisions for Hebrew- and English-speaking students. This year, the school is proud to welcome over 130 new students.
“We are thrilled to welcome the young Shluchim and Shluchos for the new year of learning,” shared Associate Director Morah Devora Leah Weiss. “For children growing up on Shlichus and for their parents, having a place where they can gain Chassidishe Chinuch and connect with peers and teachers is especially meaningful.”
Although they won’t be together in a brick-and-mortar classroom, the school puts emphasis on creating a warm, Chassidishe environment that gives the feeling of an in-person experience for all their students.
“Our devoted Rabbeim and staff go above and beyond to fulfill the goal of every student feeling supported and inspired, while developing a strong sense of pride in their role as Shluchim,” said boys principal Rabbi Yehoshua Steinberg. “Starting the new school year reminds us of the responsibility and privilege we have to guide and educate the Talmidim and Talmidos!”
“There is nothing more meaningful than investing in the education of the children who will carry the Rebbe’s mission into the future,” shared Mrs. Bassie Shemtov, co-director of the Shluchim Office. “We are grateful to the dedicated administrators, teachers, and staff who work tirelessly to provide Shluchim families around the world with a quality, Chassidishe educational experience for their children!”
