This past Motzei Shabbos, talmidei hashluchim from 10 yeshivas from across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut gathered together for a Hakhel Melavah Malkah in conjunction with Chof Beis Shvat.
In attendance, there were over 70 Shluchim from the following Yeshivas: Monsey, Pomona, Nyack, Westchester, Morristown, New Haven Zal, New Haven Mesivta, Suffield, Poconos and Oholei Torah Mesivta.
The gathering was the third Hakhel melave malka of its kind, each time hosted by a different yeshiva in a true spirit of Hakhel. This past event was hosted by the shluchim to the Westchester Yeshiva.
The shluchim enjoyed a delicious melavah malkah, heard inspiring addresses from their fellow shluchim, and watched a video of the rebbe together, followed by a group picture and spontaneous dancing.
Speakers included Rabbi Mendy Klyne – rosh yeshiva of Mesivta Lubavitch Monsey, Rabbi Mendel Wilhelm – mashpia In Westchester, Mendy Blesofsky – shliach in Monsey Mesivta, Yosef Segal – shliach in New Haven Mesivta, and Yitzi Lisbon – shliach in New Haven Zal.
The event was arranged by the shluchim of Monsey Mesivta.
