A young California shliach created a useful shopping list and manual for building your own sukkah, with simple products one can find in any Home Depot.
The list and manual was created by 15 year old Mendel Grossbaum, Shliach in Folsom CA, who said he made it “for Shluchim’s benefit”.
“The list is a simple guide on what needs to be purchased to create your own Sukkah,” he told Anash.org. “This can be useful for Shluchim to give to mekuravim, or anyone else who wants to make a sukkah from lumber from home depot.”
One shopping trip to Home Depot is enough to get all these items, with no need to go to multiple stores. On the list, there are two different lattices to choose from (white plastic and brown wood). Only one is needed, based on personal preference.
“One thing to keep in mind, however, is that this list is based on the Home Depot in the Folsom area,” Mendel said. “Therefore, there may be slight changes to item names or prices in other locations.”
