Who brought students to Jewish schools and camps?
You and I.
The members of Anash communities who took to the Rebbe’s call to bring every Jewish child into a Jewish education.
Camp Gan Israel was established as a haven for Jewish kids to have an all-immersive Yiddishkeit experience and take it home with them after the summer.
It’s not uncommon to meet a Yid in his 70’s and have him tell you of his summer in Camp Gan Israel.
Your average Bochur who spent a summer on Merkos Shlichus placed a strong effort on bringing kids to camp and Yeshiva.
This was how the Rebbe saw a generation receiving the Jewish education it needed that was not being given in public school.
Shluchim added to this effort by helping families of their communities send their kids to day camps and overnight camps.
Anash communities today, are the foremost powerful force for making sure every Jewish boy and girl has a Yiddishe education.
Consider this:
How many of your friends began their Yiddishkeit journey at a Gan Yisroel overnight camp, decades ago?
In your immediate circle of friends and business people, how many have children who are in need of learning about Torah and Mitzvos?
You know 1 child? 2-5 children?
Have you ever thought about playing a game changing role in the life of these children?
CKids Gan Israel Florida is an overnight camp that you will be excited to recommend.
The camp website tells the story of the life changing summer Jewish public school boys have had and will continue to have.
Visit the website and take a look.
Every story is an important story. Are you a Gan Israel kid? Please email us your story of how camp brought you to Yiddishkiet at [email protected]. We can’t hear enough of these stories.
As you read this, CKids Gan Israel Florida is having its annual camp scholarship drive. You can become a partner of the holy work and mission of camp, connect these boys with their Yidishkeit and bring them and their families to Torah and Mitzvos.
