Forty Young Professionals and their Rabbis are treated to spectacular views of the Volcán de Fuego at sunrise this morning in Antigua, Guatemala, as they make it to the summit after a grueling all-night hike up the mountain.

The group spent the night singing and bonding as they hiked the steep mountain with the red lava of Volcán de Fuego overflowing in the distance. Upon reaching the summit, the group took in the views, held a meditation session, and davened Shachris.

The hike was part of CYP International’s Encounter Shabbaton in Antigua, Guatemala, this week, where CYP Chapters from San Diego, CA, Great Neck, NY, Raleigh, NC, and Toronto, CA have gathered at Chabad Antigua for an inspiring Shabbos of connection, growth, and discovery with other Jewish young professionals led by their local CYP Rabbis and Rabbi Beryl Frankel of CYP International at Merkos 302.
