Williamsburg Hosts First-Ever Dinner for a Chabad House

A historic evening took place last night in Williamsburg, with the first-ever dinner in the neighborhood supporting a Chabad House.

Members of the Satmar community gathered in support of Chabad Cozumel, led by Rabbi Dudi Caplin, as it prepares to establish a permanent home after 18 years of activity.

Hosted by R. Shlomi Feder, the evening featured Avrum Mordechai Schwartz, Yehuda Piamenta, and Eliya Sinai.

People at the event spoke about their personal experiences in Cozumel and how Chabad made every Jew feel at home, regardless of background or community.

The new waterfront center will include a Chabad House and synagogue, a yeshiva for baalei teshuvah, a luxurious mikvah and spa, and a Museum of Tolerance inspired by the Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach.

In Cozumel, every Jew has a home.
