Shluchim Rabbi Dovid and Devorah Bush wowed the 400 guests at their outdoor Chanukah celebration in Petaluma, CA, with a soaring drone menorah that lit up the night sky, dropping Chanukah gelt onto the crowd.

A video of the event was widely shared on social media, allowing thousands around the globe to share in the Chanukah spirit.

“The video has been forwarded to us by friends from Florida to England and Israel,” said Rabbi Dovid Bush. “It turns out that a girl from our community sent the clip to her grandmother in Brazil, who shared it with some friends. The rest is social media history.”

The gelt drop followed the lighting of a mega nine-foot menorah, with a fire juggling act, refreshments and music entertaining the families that came out to celebrate.
