This Chanukah, hundreds of teachers who are registered with Igud Hamelamdim, found a surprise Chanukah gift pack for their families in their mailboxes.
The gift pack contained a veritable treasure trove of gifts — Chanukah themed sticker books, cookie cutters, lighting yo-yo, cookies, candies, coloring books, and the new heartwarming “Thank You Rebbi” CD.
It was another project facilitated by Lubavitch Chinuch Organization Igud Hamelamdim, showing a gesture of appreciation to the hundreds of mechanchim and their families for their dedication to our children’s chinuch. The Chanukah gift packs were sourced from the Chasdei Lev organization, an organization dedicated to supporting and bolstering mechanchim everywhere.
It’s now six years that Igud Hamelamdim has partnered with the Chasdei Lev organization to bring Lubavitch mechanchim gifts of gratitude that they so deserve. The program currently reaches over 350 Lubavitch mechanchim across North America, reports Igud Hamelamdim’s director Rabbi Avrohom Bluming
“My kids were thrilled!” shared Rabbi Dovber Bryski, a Crown Heights rebbi, “It gave the kids exciting activities to do, and for me, it made me feel appreciated for choosing Chinuch.”
The core mission of Igud Hamelamdim is boosting chinuch and invigorating the teachers, by providing year-round support operations and initiatives of all kinds. They source every means possible to lighten the burden of teachers, so they can teach in our mosdos undisturbed.
“Our teachers are there for our children every day,” says Rabbi Bluming. “It’s our honor to show them a token of gratitude!”
