A Chabad Chassid from Odessa, Ukraine, who has been serving in the Ukrainian armed forces, has been missing from the front lines for approximately one month, with his current condition and whereabouts unknown.

The soldier, Yosef, is known within his community in Odessa as a Lubavitcher Chassid who remained closely connected to Jewish life even while serving in the military during the ongoing war. Ukrainian citizens are subject to forced conscription.

According to family members, contact with him was suddenly lost about a month ago while he was deployed near active combat zones, and since then, there has been no verified information regarding his situation.

His disappearance has caused major concern among relatives, friends, and members of the broader Jewish community in Odessa and beyond. Efforts to obtain updates through official and informal channels have so far not produced any clear information.

In the absence of confirmed details, there is continued uncertainty, with no indication of whether he is safe, injured, or being held in any form of detention.
