A community-wide farbrengen was held in the holy city of Tzfas to mark the Rebbe’s yahrzeit on Gimmel Tammuz, with the participation of prominent rabbonim from across the city.

A community-wide farbrengen was held in the holy city of Tzfas to mark the Rebbe‘s yahrzeit on Gimmel Tammuz, with the participation of prominent rabbonim from across the city.
Emceeing the event was the Head Shliach to Tzfas Rabbi Chaim Kaplan who spoke about the essence of a day, and how the Rebbe repeated dozens of times that a Nasi never departs his flock and remains connected to them.
Rabbi Mordechai Bistritzky, rov of the Chabad community, who spoke about our responsibility to ensure that Hu Bachayim. Tzfas Mayor Shuki Ohana, spoke about the activities of Chabad around the world, but especially in the holy city of Tzfas, which has been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years.
The keynote speaker was Rabbi Menachem Mendel Feldman, mashpia of the Chabad community in Dnipro, who spoke about how the Rebbe’s words are timeless and remain full of life. The farbrengen lasted well into the night.
Among the participants were many local shluchim and anash, members of the yeshiva’s hanhala, as well as members of other local communities and dignitaries. The many guests expressed their admiration for the new and magnificent building that had only recently been inaugurated.
The farbrengen was held in the new building of Yeshivas Tze’irei Hashluchim of Tzfas, which had been dedicated last year in honor of Yud Alef Nissan. The new building, which includes a magnificent and spacious bais medrash, classrooms and a spacious mikvah, will serve the students of the Yeshiva, which is geared for young shluchim from across the world. The older buildings on the campus underwent an extensive renovation as well.
In the hallway outside the farbrengen, dozens of participants sat writing panim to the rebbe which were hand-delivered to the Ohel on the day of Gimmmel Tammuz by Rabbi Kaplan.
