Three Injured in Crown Heights Building Fire

A fire broke out at a three-story building on the corner of Union Street and Albany Avenue in Crown Heights. Three people have sustained minor injuries.

A fire broke out at a three-story multi-use building located on the corner of Union Street and Albany Avenue in Crown Heights.

The fire which began on the second floor soon rose to the third floor. Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from one of the windows on the second floor.

Multiple firetrucks and dozens of firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to battle the blaze. A number of people have been evacuated from the building, three people were reported to have sustained minor injuries.

The building is located at 1547 Union St. on the corner of Albany Avenue. The residential apartments sit atop Mr. Clean It organic dry cleaners located on the ground floor.

Hatzalah units were also on the scene to assist FDNY firefighters.
