The Video That Brought Joy to a Corona Wedding

When Rabbi Levi Begun realized that his sister Fayge’s wedding to Moshe Aharon Liberow, which took place at the height of the pandemic, would be limited to immediate family, he decided to enlist Jewish singers and personalities to increase the simcha.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, on 3 Sivan one year ago, Rabbi Moshe Ahron and Fayge Liberow where married at Fayge’s parents Chabad House in Cheviot Hills, California. Due to California’s strict safer-at-home order, and coronavirus restrictions still firmly in place, the wedding was attended by immediate family only.

Numerous extended family members and friends who where restricted from attending physically, only being able to attend in spirit and via Zoom, sent short selfie video clips conveying their Mazal Tov wishes to be combined together and screened during the wedding.

To add spice to the video being prepared, brother of the Kallah and Shliach to Culver City, CA, Rabbi Levy Begun, coordinated with a variety of Jewish music superstars and personalities to send their Mazal Tov videos as well.

Many of the singers and personalities also count themselves as family friends, having been featured in the past on the Chabad Telethon chaired yearly by grandfather of the Kallah, Head Shliach to the West Coast Rabbi Shlomo Cunin.

The singers and others that were requested happily agreed to send a video clip, and the result, which brought some much needed joy to the limited chassuna, can be seen below.
