After a Chassidic Music Festival was scheduled for Aseres Yemei Teshuva, organizers had second thoughts. They asked the Rebbe, who responded with a letter to the participants, without it being requested. Read the letter and a newly released letter in this week’s issue.
After the date a Chassidic festival was finalized in Caracas, a discussion ensued among the organizers if it was proper to make a festival — a music festival at that — during the solemn days of the Ten Days of Repentance. They decided to bring this dilemma to the Rebbe. The Rebbe, instead of directly answering the issue at hand, sent an official letter to the participants of the festival — a letter that was not requested by the organizers. The letter to the Participants in the First Chassidic Festival is letter two in the booklet.
The first Letter in this booklet is a circular letter, addressed to “The Sons and Daughters of Our People Israel, Everywhere”, dated Days of Teshuvah, 5732. The subsequent letters discuss themes of Teshuvah, specifically as inspired and guided by Chassidus.
Published at the end of the booklet is a newly released letter.
Rebbe Responsa kindly requests anyone who may be in possession of letters of the Rebbe in English, to send them by email so that these unique treasures can benefit the public.
These selected letters are sourced from the extensive collection of over 5,000 English letters written by the Rebbe, accessible through the Rebbe Responsa app.
