In a major initiative inspired by the Rebbe’s directive to spread the wellsprings of Chassidus and print a Tanya in every city where there is a Jew, the Tanya was printed in 18 cities across Iowa – each at a location where it had never been printed before.

This project was a joint effort by the Talmidim Hashluchim of the Postville Yeshiva and Shluchim throughout Iowa, working together to bring this monumental mission to life.

In preparation, the Talmidim Hashluchim led in-depth learning sessions with the bochurim in Postville about the Rebbe’s hora’ah to print the Tanya and the profound impact it brings – drawing every Jew closer to Hashem through the teachings of Chassidus.

Each shiur in the Yeshiva had the opportunity to participate personally, traveling with the Shluchim to celebrate and oversee the printing of the Tanya in these new cities.

Bochurim who played a key role in arranging and facilitating the project include Yossi Isaac, Motty Smith, Levi Bruchstat, Sholom Ber Baumgarten, Mendel Shvarzbord, and Dov Chazanov.

The list of 18 cities where the Tanya was printed: Mason City, Ames, Ankeny, Waukee, Grimes, Grinnell, Coralville, North Liberty, Mt. Vernon, Clinton, Le Claire, Muscatine, Burlington, Ottumwa, Council Bluffs, Hiawatha, Cedar Falls, and Marion.
