During a time when much of the news in Eretz Yisroel is filled with doom and gloom, Lubavitcher singer Simche Friedman released a song to uplift his fellow countrymen with a positive attitude to the news.
Israeli Lubavitcher singer Simche Friedman released a song to uplift his fellow countrymen from all the doom and gloom in the local news. The song is accompanied by a particularly surprising and well-produced music video that touches on a sensitive point for the Israeli public, tired of the gloomy and pessimistic tone of news anchors on mainstream media channels.
“This is exactly what we tried to shed light on,” says Simche. “We took the lyrics of the song, which talk about how everything happens with Hashem’s help, and with that, we turned the ‘depressing’ studio into a place of joy, faith, positivity, and optimism! How exactly does this happen? You’ll have to watch for yourself…”
The song is in a kumsitz-Chassidic style, with simple and straightforward lyrics that carry a powerful message of emunah and trust in Hashem. It has a catchy, uplifting, and energetic tune that is easy to remember and fun to sing.
“The message of the song, together with the unique video, is especially relevant to our time,” concludes Simcha. “People want to hear positive messages of encouragement and hope, not just fear and panic. If Hashem wills it, we will see and understand that everything was for the good, and with Hashem’s help – together, we will win!”
The song was composed by Rabbi Menachem Nordman, the lyrics were written by Simche Friedman and Rabbi Menachem Nordman, and the musical arrangement and production were handled by the duo Eli Klein and Itzy Berry. The video was directed and edited by Sruli Broncher, with cinematography by Isaac Kalman, and the script was written by Rabbi Yoel Beitz‘.
